Re-Opening May 29th (Phase 3)

Dear Valued Clients,

We have missed being a part of your lives and are excited to be able to provide you with wonderful service in a safe space.  Please take time to review this document and familiarize yourself with the necessary precautions and changes we have implemented.

We are following the Personal Care Services Guidelines issued by the State of Illinois for Phase 3 re-opening to ensure a safe environment. While these changes may pose as an inconvenience, they are temporary but are necessary.  We appreciate your patience and look forward to seeing and servicing you all again.

What to expect upon your return:

  • Reservations are by appointment only, no walk-ins.

  • A mask will be required for all clients. If your appointment includes any color application, please understand that some color may get on your mask (bring one that you are okay getting stained).

  • If you have COVID-19 symptoms, you should wait until you have had no fever for at least 72 hours, other symptoms have improved, and at least 10 days have passed since symptoms first appeared.

  • The front door to the salon will be locked at all times.  We are prevented from having a waiting area so you will have to wait outside or in your cars.  The stylists will contact you when ready.  A method will be in place that will allow you to check in via our appointment application; however it is not currently implemented.  We must do this due to capacity restrictions.

  • When you enter the salon, you will be greeted and asked to read and sign a consent/waiver form.  The consent simply asks you to verify health concerns related to COVID-19.

  • We ask that you try your best to social distance yourself from others when possible.  The salon has spaced out all stylist stations to meet the requirements for social distancing.

  • We ask that you do not bring anyone with you to your appointment. This means children, a spouse, other family members, or friends. This is to limit the amount of unnecessary people in the salon and increase the amount of space we have to distance.

  • We will no longer be providing refreshments.  If you chose to bring your own beverage into the salon, it must stay in your purse or on your lap.  We do not want items sitting on the counters or empty cups left on tables for others to pick up and possibly contaminate a surface or person.

  • If you need any product, please ask your stylist or the receptionist to get it for you.  We are asking clients not to touch the retail in order to eliminate as much contamination as possible.

  • Every stylist station will be sanitized after every appointment and high touch surface areas around the salon, such as door knobs, will be frequently cleaned.

  • Please be advised we have temporarily suspended any facial services that require the removal of a mask.

Appointments and Scheduling:

  • Please be aware that we are operating on a temporary (Phase 3) schedule that poses restrictions to capacity.  Due to the very nature of this, on-line appointment booking is suspended. Initially, all stylists will be booking your appointments based upon logs kept at the front desk from your phone calls and messages.  The stylist will return your call in order to book the appointment.

  • Post service, you will be allowed to book one future appointment.  The primary purpose of this is two-fold.  One is to alleviate any congestion at the front desk.  The second is that the current scheduling and capacity configurations will change once Phase 4 is in session.  This has the potential for adjustments to future appointments so we don’t want to get too far ahead of the game.

  • Be aware that we are doing everything we can to get you scheduled.  We appreciate your patience as this gets rolling again and look forward to seeing you soon.

Stay-At-Home Order Extended

As you are aware the stay-at-home order issued by the Governor has been extended to June 1st. We are anxious and hopeful to get back to work and look forward to the day that we are allowed to serve you again.

Due to the nature of this moving target, we have suspended on-line booking of appointments. This will resume once an opening date firms up. In addition, we will formulate best safety practices to co-exist with this new environment.

Keep the faith.

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE

To our valued clients,

The health and safety of our clients and team members is of utmost importance to us at DeCarlo’s. We have been taking extra precautions to ensure a safe environment during the outbreak associated with COVID-19. However, there are still too many unknowns regarding this situation.

Therefore, we will be temporarily closing our salon at the close of business Tuesday March 17th and hope to re-open May 1st. We will be proactively reaching out to reschedule appointments during this period.

We want to thank everyone for their understanding and support. Understand that this is a fluid situation and we will continue to post updates on our website.

We look forward to seeing you soon.
